The Giants on Wednesday, re-signed veteran long snapper and team captain Zak DeOssie, James Kratch of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
DeOssie, who will turn 32 in May, has spent his entire career with the Giants. He and Eli Manning are the only remaining Giants who were members of the Super Bowl XLII and XLVI championship teams. DeOssie was a fourth-round pick out of Brown in 2007. The contract is for one year, according to The Daily News’ Ebenezer Samuel.
DeOssie, who was set to be an unrestricted free agent, missed the final four games of the 2015 season after tearing tendons in his wrist. But prior to that injury, DeOssie had never missed a game, appearing in 149 consecutive contests over the regular season and postseason.
