Jason Pierre-Paul Says He’s Looking Forward to the Cowboys and Tony Romo in Week One

Jason Pierre-Paul

Giants’ defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was asked several questions, including which quarterback is his favorite to sack, James Kratch of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.

“Tony Romo,” he said. “It’s just something when you play the Dallas Cowboys. He’s a good quarterback. … I’m looking forward to playing him in the first game back.”

Getting to Romo in September’s season opener will not be easy. Pierre-Paul credited Cowboys left tackle Tyron Smith as the toughest lineman he goes against, and Smith could be between Pierre-Paul and Romo once again, depending on where Pierre-Paul lines up.

But Pierre-Paul has demonstrated a knack of getting to Romo over the years.

Pierre-Paul has seven sacks in 10 career games against the Cowboys, all on Romo, with a pair of multiple sack games. Pierre-Paul got to the quarterback twice in 2011, one sack for a safety, and he had two more in a 2014 game.
