Some breaking news here: The Giants have released linebacker Antonio Pierce. Pierce confirmed the release to the Star Ledger’s Mike Garafolo. An official announcement is expected later today.

The Star Ledger reports that Antonio Pierce will miss Saturday’s game against the Jets, due to an injured foot. When asked if his foot was cause for concern, Pierce said he’s “not worried about anything.” We’ll have to see if his injury keeps him out of further action.
