Goodbye Hakeem Nicks. Giant Gab 12/9/13

My opinion; If the New York Giants don’t reach out to Hakeem Nicks with a new contract offer before the final five games of the season I don’t believe he will resign with the team. And that would be a disappointing turn of events for a team facing a rebuilding effort. So what has happened […]

NFC East Week 15

New York Giants The Giants got absolutely no pressure on Rivers the entire game; he is just too good of a quarterback to give that much time. Rivers certainly played Sunday’s game with a chip on his shoulder from that 2004 draft debacle; this is only the second time the Giants and Charges have faced […]

Goodbye Hakeem Nicks – Giant Gab 12/4/13

My opinion; If the New York Giants don’t reach out to Hakeem Nicks with a new contract offer before the final five games of the season I don’t believe he will resign with the team. And that would be a disappointing turn of events for a team facing a rebuilding effort. So what has happened […]

Damontre Moore: The Future of the Giants Defense

On Friday, April 26th, the Giants decided to draft Texas A&M Defensive End Damontre Moore with the 81st Overall Pick. Many draft analysts had stated that if it weren’t for Moore’s character issues, he could have very well been a first round selection. However, due to these precautions amongst league offices, the talented Defensive End […]

Prospect Profiles: S Myron Rolle (FSU/Rhodes Scholar)

I’ve responded to the comments in the last post. Usually at this time in the draft people are talking about a lack of players intelligence and wondering if his athletic ability will overcome a persons’ Football Intelligence to make him a good N.F.L. player. Vince Young and Mario Manningham are two examples of players who scored poorly on their […]

Next Day Thoughts: Giants Chargers

What can you say about that one? Ugly. Deflating. Potential playoff costing. I was at the game (and kudos to Mark Picucci who did a great job filling in for me) and it was the weirdest feeling. The stadium fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. My friend had his head in his legs, […]

Chris Steuber Grades the Giants:

From SCOUT.COM’s Chris Steuber Best Draft New York Giants The New York Giants had a great weekend; they really improved their team. In the first round, they took North Carolina WR Hakeem Nicks, who I believe will be the best WR from this year’s draft class. Nicks is a consistent pass catcher who has reliable […]

Pick Nicks:

With the 29th pick of the 2009 NFL Draft the New York Giants select Hakeem Nicks, wide receiver,  from North Carolina.   This was the popular pick from many mock drafts around the NFL community prior to the draft.  Nicks is probably the most NFL ready receiver in the draft in my opinion and will look […]

Hakeem Nicks-Instant Analysis

The Giants selected Hakeem Nicks with their first round pick. I really love this pick. He’s an Anquan Boldin type player. He’s a Chad Ocho Cinco type player without the headaches. I think he comes in and on Day 1 becomes the number one receiver. Excellent hands, good route runner, not Plaxico tall but almost 6-2. […]

No Deal for Edwards Imminent?

According to Bob Glauber of Newsday, two league sources say that there is no deal between the Giants and Browns for Edwards ,nor is there one imminent. The sources also say that the Giants are unwilling to part with their first round pick.
