Will Snee and Baas Take Pay Cuts?

The NY Giants have asked two of their significant interior linemen to take pay cuts according to PFT. Can you guess which two? Snee, a second-round pick in 2004 and the son-in-law of coach Tom Coughlin, is due to earn a base salary of $6.75 million in 2014, the final year of his contract. The […]

Kevin Gilbride as Head Coach-Part 1. Response.

I wrote a post recently describing the Giants offense as a Manatee on dry land! So I’m not happy with this plodding ineffective offence either. However, I think that being effective as a coaching staff in the NFL after ten-years in near impossible. Every team tries to figure out ways to beat you and sooner […]

Justin Pugh Dry Heaves Before Every Game

I was looking over Justin Pugh’s long list of first year accomplishments just now via Giants.com and what struck me most about his career is how routine oriented he and Chris Snee have been since they began playing football at a high level. Both OL’s puke before each and every game… Wow. Pugh has come […]

Chris Snee Has More Hip Issues

Gilbride and Sheridan Out, Weis and Crennel In:

Boley Out For Few Weeks, Source Says

A source told the Newark Star Ledger’s Mike Garafolo that linebacker Michael Boley will miss a few weeks with a knee injury. This is a huge set back for Boley, who was really starting to come into his own after recovering from a hip injury. Presumably, Bryan Kehl or Chase Blackburn will take his place.

The other two surprises both expect to be back at practice tomorrow: S  Michael Johnson (shoulder) S Kenny Phillips (knee) On a good note […]

According to the Daily News, Rocky Bernard has come off the Non-Football Injury list. He passed his physical, and began doing individual drills. No word on when he will see game action. In other injury news, Chris Canty is still battling that hamstring injury. Again, no word on when he will see game action. Aaron […]

Giants Knew Boley Would Be Suspended:

Just a quick update about Michael Boley: From Tom Rock of Newsday, According to a person familiar with the Giants’ thinking, the team was aware that Michael Boley would face league discipline stemming from the incident last May when he was charged with battery on his wife. They went ahead and signed him anyway to […]

Boley Had Surgery

The injuries keep on coming. The Giants announced today that starting linebacker Michael Boley underwent arthroscopic surgery to help repair a torn labrum in his hip. He’s expected to be out 8-10 weeks. Not good news. Boley was the big free agent signing, along with Chris Canty, and was expected to make a big impact. […]
