Bradshaw Injury: DNP Wednesday

Ok, now I’ve had enough. My favorite player is now on the injury report… and even though he supposedly will be fine to play Sunday, it’s got my dander up (as they say).

RB Ahmad Bradshaw did not practice today, and not only that — he is wearing a protective boot on his right foot. He apparently suffered an ankle/foot injury during last weeks Bucs game… or he possibly re-aggravated an injury that has nagged him his entire career.

Tom Coughlin expects that Bradshaw will be able to go this week against the Chiefs though. Coach said of Bradshaw’s status:

“We’ll take it day by day and see where he is at the end of the week, but we fully expect that he’ll be able to go to play in the game. Right now they’re treating it with a boot and lots of extra time in the training room. He’s got a couple of things going on. He has a unique style and I think he puts a lot of pressure, he has in the past, on that one ankle. He’s got some issues there. He’s dealt with this before.”

OK — time out.

I don’t want to sound like a broken record but let me spell something out here that I don’t think people of a certain perspective are getting — working out the injured area in the gym to strengthen any weak areas DOES NOT FIX THE ISSUE. Want proof? Here is is — Bradshaw has battled this injury his entire career, worked it out, and it’s still an issue. End of proof.

What do they say about insanity? Doing the same things over and over expecting different results…

Heal it from the inside out effectively over the course of several weeks, not pack on the weights quickly and go to town from the outside in. The latter fixes nothing. What am I talking about?

It is time for an awakening. It is time to change the perspective of the medical staff and the professional athletes that depend on them for treatment. It is time to heal nagging injuries once and for all and prevent them from popping back up.

Give it a try Ahmad, you won’t be more amazed in your life.
