Romeo, O Romeo!

Apparently, the Giants are trying to woo Romeo Crennel, with the hopes of him becoming the next defensive coordinator. According to the Daily News, the Giants have contacted Crennel. His agent told the News that Crennel is interested. Crennel is on vacation until Monday.

Mike Garafolo tweeted about Crennel as well. When asking a source about the latest in the defensive coordinator search, the source said:

Romeo oh Romeo.

Does that mean he’s a shoo-in? No. But, there is interest, and it is mutual. Thoughts on Crennel?

Nothing but love for you Romeo, but my first choice is Pepper.

well Cleveland had all kinds of problems with their LBs and DBs as well for the last few years. is Romeo really the answer?

  3. andrew ilnicki says:

Pepper had a much better result in NE since 2007… his DLine was the best performing bunch on the field.

If memory serves me correctly, this clown used to be the coach of the Speacial teams for the Giants. I also recall that those special teams were the worst in franchise history. Sorry, but I’m against this.

Let’s snag the newly unemployed and fiercely emotional defensive genius…Jim Mora.

There’s a man who can restore the defensive passion and intensity that we had under the Spags regime.

The Price of Failure or the Rewards of Incompetence–
Am I the only one dumfounded at the thought of these recent failures or losers constantly surfacing for the next coaching or ass’t coaching job in the NFL?
What is there to recommend any of these guys besides failing in their most recent job?
Crennell,Sheridan, Weis, Jauron,Mangini, Mora, Haslett and Billick. Behind them, there are at least as many others whose jobs are in jeopardy but are already vying for the next available opening. The “old boy” network is alive and kicking.
