Source: Ahmad Bradshaw out indefinitely

Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw is out indefinitely with a cracked bone in his right foot, Mike Garafolo of The Star-Ledger reports.

Bradshaw has battled foot and ankle injuries throughout his career and is considering whether or not to undergo surgery, Garafolo adds.

Through seven games this season, Bradshaw has a team-high 111 carries for 440 yards and five touchdowns and is tied for third on the team with 24 receptions, which have gained 210 yards and resulted in one touchdown.

Bradshaw injured the foot during Sunday’s comeback win over the Dolphins, undergoing X-rays during the game. The pain and swelling in Bradshaw’s foot was originally attributed to a screw inserted in the foot two years ago.

  1. Big Daddy says:

OK it’s time to give Scott a chance, DJ seems just OK and Jacobs has been DOA.

Get Scott past the LOS and nobody catches him, the defense knows this and that will scare them. That will keep other things open. It’s up to the OLine, nobody is afraid of Jacobs anymore and it’s like DJ who. But I am sure they know about Da’Rel Scott, they know if they don’t stop him at the LOS or miss a tackle he’s GONE…..SCORE!!!!

    Speed kills.

And this is were I dislike Coughlin, he did not give this kid any snaps and now he’s thrust into the mix unprepared. Coughlin ALWAYS does that to rookies and it’s not good coaching. You have to slowly work these guys in by getting them game time experience so that they are ready if the injury bug hits. And we all know the injury bug wears a blue jersey.

    • Jason C. says:

You can’t blame Coughlin here. He was forced to give WAY too much time to untested rookies on defense, resulting in games where the offense is forced to be ultra conservative at times in order to keep things close enough in the fourth quarter. By relying on rookies on both sides of the ball, we’d be playing with fire. If Bradshaw does have to miss time, expect them to scour the market for an experienced back to fill in for the time being.

That doesn’t make sense, did you watch pre season games? He hardly used Scott. We knew who was going to be our 3 headed monster, DJ, Jacobs and Bradshaw. All we had to know is could Scott do it or was it Andre Brown. Well niether IMO got much of a chance so Brown is gone.

SO Scott must have shown something, why not get him plays during that last pre season game? Why not get him in here and there during the season, why was he on inactive? Why was he not even tried at returning punts, why are we using our very important Ross, who if gets injured we are really screwed.

This is just stupid pet tricks of a coach who is here too long.

        • Big Daddy says:

I meant to say we got him plays during the last preseason game.

He gained over 100 yards on the ground.

          Then nothing, inactive.
