Giants and Jason Pierre-Paul Agree to a One-Year Deal

It sounds like the Giants and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul have finally gotten a deal done, as various reports say the G-Men and JPP have agreed on a one-year deal.

Here’s the info from PFT:

The contract ends a prolonged staredown between the two sides. Pierre-Paul had to pass physicals before the contract could be done, and it’s assumed that he’ll need to continue to work with the team’s medical staff before he can play; Pierre-Paul lost a finger in the fireworks accident.

Pierre-Paul, who had 12.5 sacks last season and has 42 in his five-year Giants career, would have made $870,000 per week under the franchise tag.
