Three Big Name Matchups for the Giants as they take the Field in 2021

The New York Giants struggled in the 2020 season, not making it to .500 with new coach Joe Judge as the team struggled to 6-10, a game back of Washington for first in the NFC East.

Daniel Jones at QB and an injured Saquan Barkley were enough to sideline a lot of the Giants firepower last season when games mattered.

The team made a number of offseason moves in 2021, and are hoping that they can be a bigger force in the NFC East this year.

Look for the Giants to be overall better, and for the team to challenge the best in the NFC.

While there’s a number of great matchups on the Giants slate, including divisional games vs Washington, the Eagles and Cowboys, the team also has a number of great games, home and away to look forward to.

Here are the 3 matchups that I’m most looking forward to:

9/16 at Washington – Last season Washington was competitive with the Giants in two games, and this year New York wants to get revenge for the two games. The Giants and Washington are slated for a prime-time affair that will give fans an early look at who is going to have the edge in the NFC East.

11/07 vs Las Vegas – The Raiders come to New York for a matchup with the Giants at MetLife Stadium, and it should be a fun matchup as Derek Carr and company look to get the ball downfield often against a Giants secondary that last year really struggled. Let’s see if Barkley can run past the Raiders defensive line in this battle.

01/02 at Chicago – The last road affair for the Giants in 2021, they will play host to the Bears and coach Matt Nagy in Soldier Field. Chicago made the playoffs a season ago before bowing out in the wild card game vs the Saints in New Orleans. Now the Giants want to play spoiler as well as play well enough to be in the playoff mix.
